Talent of the Masters

Although this doesn't have to do with my senior project, it still interesting, cool, and it made me feel important. Anyways, 2 weeks ago, Pittman came up to me and told me that she was so impressed with the painting I did for Ogden's class that she wanted me to paint something for the talent of the masters. She then told me my painting would be auctioned off for money and all the profit would go to the senior class. This news made me delighted because something that I do for a hobby will actually help out my class, plus Mrs. Pittman liked my painting, which is neat in itself.

This is the painting, the picture is bad quality but whatever.

Easter Fun at the Arboretum!

Today while trying to find parking, I noticed the arboretum was much more crowded then it usually is. To my surprise they were having an easter event and instead of helping out in the membership office, today I got to help out with an easter egg hunt! It was so much fun to help set up and watch little kids pick up eggs. They had a variety of booths like face painting, scavenger hunts, planting flowers, and food! Since, I am a volunteer I got free food which was nice :) The whole event kind of reminded me of a big I-fest. I wish I could of taken more picture but I was so busy it was difficult.

I tried to take a photo of all the booths, but since it was so crowded it was quite difficult.

Egg hunt :)

Blog 19: Senior Project and ESLRs

1.  What ESLR have you excelled in most in your senior project?

I believe that I excelled as an effective learner in my senior topic.

2.  Please explain why you think you have excelled in this ESLR.

I think I did well as an effective leaner because I take responsibility in doing my own work for my senior project. An example would be my independent component. I did not procrastinate when it came to the component and had great results. My plants grew twice as fast than I expected and now they are close to bloom. Another example would be at my service learning. At the arboretum I take initiative and water and prune plants without anyone telling me so. That way I can provide help for the workers and other volunteers.

3.  Provide evidence from your senior project to support your claim (evidence is a photo of something you are doing, photo of something you made, etc).
